Candidates for governor to meet in Gulfport
West Side — The West Side Community Association in cooperation with the Gulfport City Council will host a Gubernatorial Candidate Forum on Sunday from 2–4 p.m. at West Side Park on U.S. 90 between 38th Avenue and 41st Avenue.
Candidates who have confirmed their attendance to date are:

Democrat: Bill Compton, Johnny DuPree, Bill Luckett, Guy Shaw

Republican: Dave Dennis, Hudson Holliday, Ron Williams

Reform Party Candidate: Shawn O’Hara
The format for the event will include a brief opening statement by each candidate, questions from the audience, followed by closing remarks. Questions for the candidates may be submitted at the event, or in advance by email to westsidegroup1@cableone.net. Similar questions will be consolidated. The deadline for receiving email questions is Friday, April 29.
Brad Kessie of WLOX has been chosen to moderate the event. Bring your lawn chairs and learn about the candidates hoping to be Mississippi’s next governor.
