A few changes for this year's fireworks show
The City of Gulfport's annual Fire in the Sky fireworks show will begin at 8:45 p.m. on Sunday July 4, with a few changes.
Moses and Urie piers and jetties will be closed to the public beginning Sunday at 9 a.m.
In addition, all of Jones Park, except for the boat launches and Ship Island ferry terminal, will be closed to the public Sunday morning.
Because of the continuing construction work at Jones Park and the harbor, the entire area will be closed.
However, you can view the giant fireworks show from anywhere on the beach between Hewes Avenue and Broad Avenue.
The City of Gulfport wishes you a happy and safe 4th of July.
