The City of Gulfport has scheduled an open forum public meeting in person and virtually to

discuss the proposed construction of a new road extending the west end of Airport Road to Daniel

Boulevard with an I-10 overpass, making connections with Creosote Road (at the Gulfport Premium

Outlets), 34th Avenue, and Canal I-10 Service Road.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.

at the Gulfport Premium Outlets Food Court, 10000 Factory Shop Boulevard, in Gulfport,

Mississippi. Online attendees may access information on how to join the meeting at the following

website: https://www.interconnectinggulfport.com. Questions and comments will be received

by the project staff from both in-person and online attendees.

Adhering to COVID-19 guidelines, citizens are invited to come and go (in person or virtually) as

they please during the hours of the meeting to view exhibits and other project-related materials and

to discuss with city representatives. Although there will be no formal presentations by individuals

or groups, citizens are invited and encouraged to review the material available and make written

and/or recorded statements that will become part of the meeting’s permanent record. Individuals

may also submit written materials and/or other exhibits for consideration in addition to or in lieu of

oral or recorded comments provided at the Public Meeting. A link to an online comment form can

be found on the project website referenced above.
