Question: Can I get a report concerning my step child, grandchild or any child other than my own?
Answer: Juvenile Reports will only be released to a verified parent or guardian. We take every precaution to protect juveniles, so please don’t be offended if we ask for proof. Some documents we might ask to see: guardianship papers, insurance cards, or anything that will definitely link you to the juvenile in question.

Question: Why can’t I have the whole report?
Answer: Investigative information is excluded from public request per law. Information regarding suspects or victims is also excluded. The report will include: what took place, where it took place, what time it took place, property involved, and the person arrested, if there was an arrest. If more information is desired you can submit a Public Records Request stating why you want the information and it will be sent to our Legal Department for review.
For more information about Public Records Requests, refer to the Police Reports Page.
