City of Gulfport Redistricting Plans
The City of Gulfport will hold a Public Hearing to review and discuss proposed plans to redistrict the City. The meeting will take place on August 16, 2011, at 6:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers at City Hall. At that time, the attached plans will be available for public comment and review. Anyone desiring to comment, but unable to attend, may submit comments to ClerkofCouncil@gulfport-ms.gov.
New for the August 16th Hearing:
Plan 5 was addresses the questions and concerns that arose at the July 18th Redistricting Hearing.
The Thomas Plan was introduced independently by Gulfport Citizen Walter Thomas at the July 18th hearing and the statistical analysis has been added.
